The new Rugby Farmers Mart and National Livestock Centre was officially opened today and the three Farming Help Charity Partners benefited from a charity auction which raised more than £13,000 to be divided between ARC-Addington, FCN and RABI. We would like to thank everyone who so generously donated prizes and also to the buyers for digging so deep into their pockets.

The Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester are currently organising a couple of workshops for farmers in the Severn Vale that were affected by the flooding last summer.  The first workshop on the 10th April will be looking at  'Strategies to get out and get on'.  The second workshop on the 6th May will be focusing on

The Fund is grateful to HRH The Prince of Wales, Defra, The North West, South West and South East Regional Development Agencies and donors across the UK and beyond, which has enabled the Fund to make hardship payments to farming families affected by floods, foot and mouth and Bluetongue of over £337,000.

British Farmhouse Breakfast The village of Spelsbury in West Oxfordshire hosted a breakfast in aid of Farming Help and their village hall.  With the hall committee, the WI and many friends providing labour a delicious breakfast of local produce was served to over 150 people.

The many compliments in the visitors’ book expressed the appreciation of all those who tucked in.   

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Farmhouse Breakfast fund raising morning on Wednesday 23rd January. We took £1624.95 (including gift aid) on the morning to be split between ARC-Addington and the RABI.  118  breakfasts were delivered to offices at Stoneleigh Park and a further 132 people came to enjoy a leisurely brunch. We would like to thank all the ladies from WFU for working so hard on the day, our trustees and their husbands and wives, sisters, parents and niece of Addington staff and our dedicated grants/housing panel also for their support. Thank you to the Jersey Cattle Society for providing such a fantastic venue and to the companies below who so generously supported us on the day with either food or drink.
